As 2023/2024 UCT admission is approaching, there’s a lot of planning that goes into researching, visiting, and applying to a college. Among all the excitement, it can be easy to overlook a small, but very crucial detail: UCT application dates.
The University of Cape Town UCT online application window is open for;
- First-time UCT applicants
- Students changing to a new qualification and/or specialization
- Applicants who previously applied for admission and were not offered a space or who were offered a space accepted the offer and did not register
- Students completing a higher certificate or any other programme and who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies

| 29 January 2023 | Residences are open for all new students. |
| 31 January 2023 | Science Faculty orientation and registration commences |
| 2 February 2023 | Compulsory orientation activities & registration for all new students |
| 14 February 2023 | First day of lectures |
WHERE DO I APPLY?
Students interested in applying should complete the following steps:
- Visit the UCT application page by clicking here.
- Choose between undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Complete the required fields and send the required papers.
- Send your application in.
- Undergraduate application forms should be emailed to admissions-ug@uct.ac.za with the title “2023 UCT Application Form” in the subject line.
- All postgraduate applicants must submit their applications online.

- An active email account
- Your South Africa identity number
- A passport for international students
