About SASMT
The South African Association of Music Teachers (SASMT) was founded in 1918 by a group of music teachers in Cape Town. Nearly a century later, SASMT became the oldest professional music association in South Africa.
SASMT represents music teachers in schools, private practices, music centers, colleges and universities, and has been doing so since its inception.
