SAICE Patrons Engineering Bursary Scheme
About SAICE
Founded in 1903, the South African Society of Civil Engineering (SAICE) is an association with approximately 8,000 members, including not only civil engineers, but also technical experts and technicians.
The institute was originally established as the Cape Civil Engineers Society (CSCE), but was later renamed the South African Society of Civil Engineers (SASCE) in 1910, and then renamed the South African Society of Civil Engineers (Seth) in 1948.
SAICE members plan, provide and maintain all the infrastructure used in the daily activities of modern society. The
SPEBS (SAICE Sponsored Engineering Scholarship Program) scholarship program was established in 1992 and is managed by the South African School of Civil Engineering to help students who are financially worthy of learning. The
scholarship will be awarded to students who are studying civil engineering or a national diploma. The current maximum amount of
scholarships per student / semester is R6,500; This funding is designed to help students pay for enrollment fees, tuition fees, and designated books.
