Old Mutual Bursaries Requirements for Applicants

Matric students intending to study for a diploma:

  • South African citizens
  • Currently in Matric or have completed Matric
  • Strong academic potential
  • Intending to study full-time to obtain a diploma
  • Intending to study at a recognized public university in South Africa
  • Meeting the minimum requirement GPA Matric 50%
  • English HL at least 60% or English FAL 70% Matric
  • Mathematics (non-mathematics literacy) at least 70%
  • Participate in school courses (Kutlwanong Promaths, life mathematics, coding plan, TRAC, Protect, etc.)

Students must also possess the following personal attributes:

  • Always up for a challenge
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Dedicated and self-motivated
  • Good communication skills
