CUT application process, and requirements for admission into graduate, Undergraduate Degree, Diploma Programmes, and Postgraduate for the 2023/2024 academic year. Authorities of the Central University of Technology, CUT invite applications from suitably qualified candidates who are high school leavers, non-school leavers, and graduates from recognized institutions for admission into the various Postgraduate programs offered by the institution for the 2023/2024 academic session on full-time and Part-Time basis. Applications are humbly invited from suitably qualified candidates.
The Central University of Technology, Free State is a public university of technology in Bloemfontein in the Free State province of South Africa. It was established in 1981 as “Technikon Free State.” As part of the South African government’s restructuring of tertiary education, it was promoted to University of Technology status in 2003 and now enrolls about 11,000 students
Application Open and closing Date 2023-2024
The Central University of Technology Online Application for 2023 is open from 1 July to 30 November. Therefore we encourage prospective students to apply online via application form (Hard-Copy) early as possible for the 2023 academic year.

- A completed application form
- A copy of your results for the latest school year
- A copy of your ID
- If you have attended another higher education institution, we need a copy of your academic transcript

CUT University Online 2023-2024 Guidelines
Application to the Central University of Technology, CUT is is basically online or by post depending on your preference following the following steps stated below.
- Submit your application form and all the necessary documentation, including an application fee, before the closing
- You will receive an e-mail and/or SMS communication with regard to the outcome of your application It is therefore important to provide both your e-mail and cellphone contact details on this form. You can also check your admission status online, https://pr.cut.ac.za/acadappstatus/
- Current matriculants who qualify based on their Grade 12 mid-term performance are provisionally admitted, pending the submission of their final matric results, and subject to availability of space (“first-come, first-served” basis).
- Successful applicants will receive an admission letter, as well as a registration guide that reflects the registration dates and orientation program.
