Auckland Park Theological Seminary (ATS) (est. 1950) is a non-profit organization (NPO) with Public Benefit Organisation status (PBO) and is engaged in theological training, education, and community development.
ATS is a non-denominational institution, working across church borders, and is accredited with the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) as an official training institution.
ATS is equipping leaders from tertiary entry-level teaching to the highest academic qualifications, offering certificates, diplomas, Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral degrees. ATS, in addition, has a contractual agreement with the North-West University.
ATS has identified the Christian network as a key success factor in building peaceful and prosperous communities for all. This network is potentially South Africa’s greatest resource to reverse the current downwards path of corruption and poverty.
Application Open and closing Date 2023-2024
The University of the Free State Online Application for 2023 is open from 1 July to 30 November 2023. Therefore we encourage prospective students to apply online via application form (Hard-Copy) early as possible for the 2023 academic year.
Auckland Park Theological Seminary Application Requirements
Here are the Auckland Park Theological Seminary Admission Requirements:
For entry into the NVC at NQF Level 2, you require:
- A year-end report for Grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 or an
- An NQF Level 1 qualification, or
- An approved bridging program designed for the specific purpose of accessing NQF Level 2, or
- A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2.
Full-Time Rated Courses
All new applications must be accompanied by:
- Certified copy of latest school report/statement of results/Grade 12 or N3 certificate.
- Six certified copies of the ID of the Learner.
- Two certified copies of ID of Parent/Guardian.
- One ID-size photo of Learner.
ATS Application Necessary General Documents for 2023
The University of Free State will require the following documents from you. they include:
- Your ID if you are a South African citizen
- Your passport if you are an international student
- Your parent’s ID or passport if you are younger than 18
- National Senior Certificate if you already matriculated
- Your final Grade 11 results with the school’s stamp
- Grade 12 June results with the school’s stamp as soon as it becomes available. It can also be emailed to studentadmin@ufs.ac.za, especially if you have applied for a selection program
- Your academic record, only if you are a current student at another institution of higher learning
- USAF accreditation from the examination board for South African universities. Apply to mb.usaf.ac.za for conditional exemption, foreign conditional exemption, or mature age conditional exemption.

Certified copy of your ID document(ID document compulsory for SA citizens – your application cannot be processed without a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants - Exam Results: Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.
