About GCRA
Gauteng Regional College (GCRA) is a branch of Gauteng’s Ministry of Education, which aims to promote the development of skills in Gauteng. This is achieved through the establishment of apprenticeship programs, internships, scholarships and career guidance. Gauteng youth, business sector and Gauteng government employees are the main beneficiaries of GCRA.
GCRA has developed an unemployment database to identify participants in development programs. Employment opportunities will be proudly listed in provincial government departments, municipal governments, government agencies and the private sector in the future. Interviews and other application procedures and results will serve as the basis for project selection.
Gauteng City Region Academy (GCRA) invites all eligible Gauteng resident applicants and unemployed students to apply for its scholarship program by registering in the GCRA database. GCRA grants cover the enrollment fees, tuition fees, and academic books of any recognized higher education institution (HEI) or university of technical and vocational education and training (TVET).
If academic expenses exceed the GCRA maximum grant amount, grant recipients are encouraged to apply for additional sponsorships. GCRA grant recipients are also required to provide 40 hours of community service from freshman year to graduation.
