Ekurhuleni West Technical, Vocational, Education and Training College (EWC) is a public institution regulated by the FET Colleges Act no 16 of 2006, as amended. It was established in terms of the Further Education and Training Act, Act No .98 of 1998, declared as such by the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Education (Gauteng Province) in terms of a Provincial Gazette Extraordinary (dated 7 December 2001).

Ekurhuleni West TVET College is situated in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality in Gauteng Province in South Africa. EWC operates within broadband and diverse communities and comprises the following six (6) campuses:

• Alberton
• Boksburg
• Germiston
• Kathorus, (in Katlehong/ Vosloorus/ Thokoza)
• Kempton (in Kempton Park)
• Tembisa.

Here are the Ekurhuleni West TVET College General Admission/Application Requirements

1. You’ll need an email address to complete the application.
2. South African applicants will need an ID number.  Foreign applicants will need their passport numbers.
3. Once you have received your student number from EWC, you will need to pay the application fee.
4. Make sure your documents are scanned according to the guidelines.
5. Your admission to EWC is dependent on you meeting the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification.
6. If you don’t meet these requirements, you may want to consider alternative qualifications or possibly, if you qualify, an extended program, enabling you to register for limited modules in your first year.
7. Students who completed Grade 12 at the ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) School of Tomorrow may no longer be accepted at EWC.
8. Some EWC qualifications have limited spaces available. Meeting the general and/or specific admission requirements for a qualification does not guarantee that you will be offered a space for the 2023 academic year.

How To Apply Ekurhuleni Online Application

1. Go to www.ewc.edu.za

2. Click the online application link for new students if you are a new student or returning students if you are currently in possession of EWC student number.
3. Follow the instructions from there and fill in the required fields

You will also need to submit certified copies of the following documents:

• Highest grade passed
• ID
• Proof of residence

If your application is on “Outstanding Documents” at any time, or you submitted documents that are not clear, cut off or not certified, you need to upload the new documents your application will be seen as Incomplete and it will affect your chances of getting space.
