Deadline: Applications are open from June to September 30 each year (applications submitted after this date will not be accepted – please apply during the application cycle before the closing date to secure your application. Yours is considered.)

CPUT is the only university of technology in the Western Cape and the largest university in the province.

CPUT has six faculties and has over 80 undergraduate and graduate courses in a wide range of fields. We also offer short career-specific training courses.

• Step 1: Select qualifications and special requirements
• Step 2: Collect your documents or upload other documents / backlog
• Step 3: Receive the application (applicable only) public)
• Step 3.1: Complete your application (manual and online)
• Step 3.2: pay the application fee (manual application only)
• Step 3.3: submit the application form and your documents (manual application only)
• Step 4: apply online
• Step 5: monitor and receive your admission status
• Step 6: Apply for residence

Application Fee: Applicants need to pay a non-refundable application fee of R100  before their application form can be processed.

NB: A non-refundable late application fee of R150 is applicable to applications submitted after the official closing date. Late applications are only accepted if late applications have been officially announced by the institution on its official website.

A complete application, submitted entirely online, MUST includes the following materials:

1. Proof of payment receipt of your application fee (This is a non refundable compulsory fee for every applicants)
2. A Certified copy of your ID document(ID document is compulsory for South Africa citizens – your application cannot be processed without a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants)
3. Exam Results:Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if you currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.
4. A unique email address when applying either online or in a hard copy . Note that some of the systems do not accept emails from some of the universities:. It is advisable to create and use a Gmail,Yahoomail address for the application.
