BMW (Bavarian Motor Works in English or Bayerische Motoren Werke in German) is a German luxury car and motorcycle company founded in Munich, Germany in 1916. BMW Speed ​​Up Scholarship will be awarded to students with excellent academic performance, especially in the following research fields:

  • Industrial Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering

The following fees will be paid by the BMW Speed ​​Scholarship Program: registration fee, tuition, required textbooks, examinations Fees and accommodation fees.

Students will also gain paid professional work experience and personal projects and tasks, as well as opportunities to interact with BMW employees. Students also have the opportunity to participate in BMW SA postgraduate courses.

BMW Bursary South Africa 2023-2024 Eligibility requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum admission criteria prior to submitting the application (note that if you do not meet all the requirements, your application will not be considered):

  • South African citizen
  • Full enrollment
  • Study a full-time within one of the above Field
  • Study between the second and last year (i.e. complete the first year)
  • Study at a recognized university in South Africa
  • Overall average score of at least 70%
  • Good oral communication skills and written
